Dr. Palwinder Kaur, DDS
Dr. Palwinder Kaur has been in the profession of dentistry little over 25 years
Dr. Kaur has served patients in Stafford, Dumfries, Herndon, and Centreville Virginia
as well as other surrounding communities. Her primary goal as a practitioner is
to ensure that each one of her patients receives the highest available standard
of dental care. Originally from India, Dr. Kaur pursued a bachelor’s degree in dentistry
and practiced in a dental school for five years. Here, she taught diagnoses, treatment
planning, and periodontics. She continued her dental education in the United States
at New York University. There she received a bachelor’s degree in dentistry. Dr.
Kaur has since established five dental offices, however currently she is practicing
full time at the Gainesville location.
Dr Kaur strives to make all her patients experience a unique approach towards dental
care and is determined to provide an anxiety free dental home for patients of all
Dr. Kaur resides in Clifton with husband, a daughter and a son. In her spare times
she enjoys reading and quiet morning walks.
Apneet is originally from Northern India and arrived in the states in 1996. She
completed her Bachelors of Science Degree in 1996 during her time in India, and
her Associates Degree of Science in Dental Hygiene, in 2009 after arriving in the
states, at Northern Virginia Community College. She currently has her CPR, first
aid, and x-ray certifications. Also, she is fluent in English, but her first languages
are Punjabi, Hindi, and Urdu.
Since 2009 she is a member of the American Dental Hygiene Association. Apneet keeps
up with the continuing education and is very keen on learning and implementing the
latest patient care philosophy and recommendations by various American healthcare
associations. She volunteers at her church on Sundays and in organizations such
as “Mission of Mercy and Give Kids a Smile,” to educate families about oral health
Providing the best oral healthcare to patients is her passion! Apneet has been working
with Dr. Kaur since 2013 and shares the same philosophy as Dr. Kaur and believes
in providing a comfortable, caring dental home for her patients.
Watching movies, hiking, and spending time with family is what she enjoys the most
in her spare time.
Ashly was born in Texas and moved to Virginia in 1999. She has been in the field
of dentistry for about 14 years now. Ashly has worked as a chairside Dental assistant
in all aspects of dentistry including 5 years in orthodontics and as a patient coordinator.
Ashly has received her X-ray, CPR, and first aid certifications as well as a Health
Science Certificate and Associates Degree in Science at Lord Fairfax Community College.
She has volunteered in organization known as “Operation Smile “which treats the
newborns with cleft palate and cleft lip anomalies.
Ashly is proud to be a member of the Gainesville Dental Arts team because she believes
in “Let’s Share Smiles; Now and Forever!”
In her spare time she enjoys spending time with her husband and three children!
Jodi grew up in Wisconsin, and moved to Virginia in 2016. Currently, she has over
5 years of experience in the dental field. Jodi started her dental career as a sterilization
technician and began her training in dental assisting. She received her Certification
in Dental Assisting from the Ogden Weber Applied Technology College in Ogden, Utah.
Also, she completed her certifications for Radiography (x- ray), CPR and First Aid
during this time.
Jodi began her career in the dental field through her own pediatric dentist. He
motivated her to work for him and to become a dental assistant. She has plans of
studying to become a dentist herself, one day.
In her spare time, she enjoys the sport of curling, watching movies with her husband,
and playing with her dog Macie.
Jodi is happy to be part of the Gainesville Dental Arts Team, and making her patients
Corey was born and raised in Northern Virginia. She is a class graduate of 2017 from Culpeper County
High School. There, she maintained as an honor roll student and track athlete. In her spare time she has
been taking courses at Germana Community College to earn her certification in Dental Assisting, and
completed it this year. She also obtained her CPR, First Aid, and AED training and certification.
She is a rising Gainesville Dental Arts team member that enjoys getting to know every patient and
ensures they have a comforting experience at our office.
Outside of the office, she enjoys music, singing, and photography.
Samantha Ballard (Sam)
Virginia Samantha Ballard (Sam) was born and raised in Northern Virginia. She found her love for
dentistry after volunteering for six months at the Fauquier Dental Clinic. Sam completed her DATS
(Dental Assistant Training School) in 2013, at Germana Community College. She gained her CPR, First Aid,
and AED certifications during her training. For the past 3 years she has continued her work in the dental
field with implant and cosmetic dentistry
In her spare-time she loves to shop, bake, and go hiking with her best pal Husky, Ella.
At Gainesville Dental Arts, she will ensure her patients’ have a comfortable experience and leave smiling after every appointment!
Shannon Eugene is originally from Boston, Massachusetts, but grew up in Germany and the Netherlands.
He moved to Virginia in 1996 and has resided here since then. He began his career in the dental
field 4 years ago. He joined as a proud member of the Gainesville Dental Arts team in 2016, and is
happy to be apart of a team that goes above and beyond to ensure patients leave smiling!
Shannon completed his CPR, First Aid and AED training and certification this year. He has also attended
courses focusing on Business of Dentistry and Communication to enhance his knowledge in his administrative position.
In his spare time, Shannon enjoys spending time with his girlfriend Sarah and their dog Princess.
