Gainesville Dental Arts Palwinder Kaur DDS



Dr. Palwinder Kaur has been in the profession of dentistry a little over 25 years now.

Dr. Kaur has served patients in Stafford, Dumfries, Herndon, and Centreville Virginia as well as other surrounding communities. Her primary goal as a practitioner is to ensure that each one of her patients receives the highest available standard of dental care. Originally from India, Dr. Kaur pursued a bachelor’s degree in dentistry and practiced in a dental school for five years. Here, she taught diagnoses, treatment planning, and periodontics. She continued her dental education in the United States at New York University. There she received a bachelor’s degree in dentistry. Dr. Kaur has since established five dental offices, however, currently she is practicing full time at the Gainesville location.

Dr. Kaur strives to make all her patients experience a unique approach towards dental care and is determined to provide an anxiety-free dental home for patients of all ages.

Dr. Kaur resides in Clifton with her husband, a daughter and a son. In her spare time she enjoys reading and quiet morning walks.

Gainesville Dental Arts Navneet Dhillon DDS, FAGD

DR. Navneet Dhillon,


Dr. Dhillon's approach to dentistry is to listen and understand the patient's dental needs and provide the best achievable treatment plan. Dr. Dhillon takes the utmost care that her patients have a comfortable experience during dental visits. Whether it is aesthetic, a minor dental issue, or a surgical procedure, Dr. Dhillon is very thorough in her dental skills.

Dr. Dhillon completed her Doctorate of Dental Surgery from the University of Southern California in 2008, but she did not stop there. Dr. Dhillon believes in lifelong learning, so she continued to further enhance her knowledge and skills in different dental fields. She is an I.V. sedation certified, Invisalign provider, Implant provider, and Sleep Apnea certified. Through continuing education, Dr. Dhillon has earned her FAGD.

Dr. Dhillon is a resident of Fairfax County and in for over a decade she has been providing dental services to Virginians. Dr. Dhillon is very passionate about dentistry and in making a positive impact on her patient's oral health.

She lives with her husband and two kids, and when she is not working she loves to spend time with her family, friends, and she loves to travel.

MDS, M Ortho RCS, MS


Dr. Divakar Karanth, BDS, MDS, M Ortho RCS, MS, joined Gainesville Dental Arts on August 2020. He holds the position of a Clinical Associate Professor in the Orthodontic department of the University of Florida. He is engaged in teaching predoctoral students and orthodontics residents and providing patient care in UFCD Orthodontics Faculty Practice.

Dr. Karanth earned master’s degree and a certificate in orthodontics from the University of Kentucky College of Dentistry. He also has a certificate in Craniofacial Biology from the UKCD. Dr. Karanth brings a great deal of clinical experience to Gainesville Dental Arts. He has an orthodontic clinical experience of 25 years since his first master’s degree in Orthodontics from India in 1995.

Dr. Karanth is not just a clinician but also has interest in orthodontic research. He developed customized 3D-printed biodegradable scaffolds capable of bone regeneration. That project was awarded a pilot study grant from the National Institutes of Health, a National Science Foundation Grant, a first- place award during UKCD’s research day and the Charley Schultz Research Scholar Award from the American Association of Orthodontists in 2019.

We welcome Dr. Karanth to Gainesville Dental Arts. He is definitely a great addition to our team. We are extremely happy for our patients who can get orthodontic care right here in our office.

Gainesville Dental Arts Hygienist Debbie Thomas


Dental Hygienist

Debbie obtained a Certified Dental Assistant degree in 1979. She has a great passion in the dental field treating patients with empathy, care and friendliness.

She obtained an Associate of Science Degree in Dental Hygiene from New York College in 1981. She moved to Virginia with her family in 1984. She also obtained Bachelor of Science Degree in Dental Hygiene and Community Health in 2018. She has a special interest in providing comfortable Periodontal Treatment to the patient and has worked full-time for 43 years in the Dental field.

Debbie has a son and both live in Prince William County. Debbie loves to read, garden and travel.

Gainesville Dental Arts Dental Hygienist Lupita Charles


Dental Hygienist

Lupita became a Board Registered Dental Hygienist in 2019 and is a proud member of The American Dental Hygiene Association. She obtained her associate degree in Dental Hygiene from the highly regarded Dental Hygiene Program at Northern Virginia Community College and graduated with Summa Cum Laude honors. Prior to becoming a Dental Hygienist, she worked as a certified Dental Assistant beginning in 2011 and was honored by the Dale community. Lupita is proud of the work the work she completes and strives to have the highest quality of care and up to date knowledge. Lupita takes great satisfaction in making her patients feel comfortable and educating them about maintaining optimal oral health with every patient she sees. Lupita is originally from Santiago, Chile, and moved to Virginia in 2009. She is fluent in both Spanish and English. When not at work, Lupita enjoys spending time with her husband and is an avid Washington Capitals fan. Lupita also relishes passing time with family and friends and traveling the world.

Gainesville Dental Arts Office Manager Shannon Brown


Business Assistant

Shannon is originally from Boston, Massachusetts, but grew up in Germany and the Netherlands. He moved to Virginia in 1996 and has resided here since then. He began his career in the dental field 3 years ago. He joined as a proud member of the Gainesville Dental Arts team in 2016, and is happy to be a part of a team that goes above and beyond to ensure patients leave smiling!

Shannon completed his CPR, First Aid and AED training and certification this year. He has also attended courses focusing on Business of Dentistry and Communication to enhance his knowledge in his administrative position.

In his spare time, Shannon enjoys spending time with his wife Sarah and their dog Princess.

Nikki Myers

Business Assistant

Nikki was born in St. Augustine Florida and raised in Front Royal Virginia. She graduated from Skyline High School in 2011. Nikki studied at Lord Fairfax Community College and The American Red Cross. She has 8 years of medical experience between Phlebotomy and Medical Assisting. She has recently transitioned to the Dental Field and is very enthusiastic about learning and pursuing a career in dentistry. In her free time, she enjoys Powerlifting, gardening, and spending time with her children.


Dental Assistant

Regah Qayumi is from Afghanistan but has lived in the United States for nearly 30 years now. She has completed her dental assistant certification from Northern Virginia Community College and currently CPR and x-Ray certified. She has worked as a dental assistant for over 11 years now and has had the pleasure of working in various offices with specialists, pediatrics, and general dentistry. She loves working with people and does her best to make every one of her patients’ office visit extraordinary and does her best to give her patients a beautiful smile. In her spare time, she loves to spend time with her family, reading, drawing, and shopping.

Dental Assistant

Priscilla was born and raised in Front Royal, Virginia. She has a large family that is very important to her, with three brothers and 2 sisters. She graduated from Skyline High school where she exceeded in Cheer and Track & Field. She began her Dental career as a Dental Assistant, through her very own family dental office.

Priscilla completed her Dental training and certification, as well as, her x-ray certification at Lord Fairfax Community College. After 4 years of experience, she has now become a member of our family here at Gainesville Dental Arts. Priscilla takes time to get to know her patients and ensures they leave with a happy and comfortable experience each time they are here.

In her spare time, she enjoys the outdoors and spending as much time as she can with her children.
